the new season is so open

It took only two weeks without any access to the 'net and my post office - and new releases are piling up and it's really hard to choose... but at least I'll try. Pop music first, as usual.

The Pica Beats are from Seattle and are so ok. New album from The Dears rocks as well. The Coral Sea come from California and play nice songs. Australian The Drones have such a nice name. Maria Taylor has got a new EP. And in case one is curious what's going on in Stockholm, Hello Saferide are always welcome.

Stanley Brinks is the new identity of one André Herman Düne, and he just introduced himself on the new album, which brings some seriously smart songwriting. Swedish connection apparently, once again.

And, from the other side of the globe, Natty is the new signing to Jack Johnson's Brushfire label. Goes well with my new boarding trunks, when the sun is high.

What can I say? Kizuna satellite launch was apparently successful, and all we have to do is wait. And I'll definitely go for "five-meter antenna", that's cool! Brief explanation below and the full story here.
"KIZUNA satellite communication system aims for a maximum speed of 155Mbps (receiving) / 6Mbps (transmitting) for households with 45-centimetre aperture antennas (the same size as existing Communications Satellite antennas), and ultra-high speed 1.2 Gbps communication for offices with five-meter antennas."
That's neat, huh?
